AF Bio Sand is a natural white sand sourced from the highest quality deposits. It is free of contaminants, and its calcium carbonate content helps stabilize water chemistry. AF Bio Sand's latest technology significantly accelerates the maturation process of an aquarium and allows for faster introduction of livestock into a newly set up tank. The included bottles contain laboratory-isolated strains of nitrifying bacteria, along with a source, facilitating their growth and multiplication. The product's specialized formula ensures the closure of the nitrogen cycle and the elimination of harmful chemicals much faster than with traditional substrates. AF Bio Sand's exceptional ease of use allows for instant aquarium sand preparation. Due to its wide range of applications, AF Bio Sand also works perfectly in established aquariums as a substrate supplement. The sand grain size is 1 to 2 mm.

PREPARATION: Some sand residue may appear during transport, which is perfectly safe for your aquarium. However, to prevent cloudiness, we strongly recommend rinsing the sand in RODI water before use. Pour the contents of both bottles into 3 liters of salt water, mix thoroughly, add to the sand bag, and let it sit for 24 hours. To allow for bacterial growth, do not seal the bag. We do not recommend storing it in cool places, as this significantly increases bacterial growth time. The optimal temperature for maturing the sand is approximately 25-28°C (77-82°F). After 24 hours, the sand is ready for use in the aquarium. Add sand gradually to the aquarium (small amounts daily) and monitor for changes in water parameters.
