Synthetic sea salt for aquariums with fish, less demanding corals, and invertebrates. When setting up a new aquarium, we recommend adding the first animals only 10-14 days after filling it. Freshly prepared seawater made by dissolving the salt can be used immediately for a partial water change.
Preparation instructions: The salt must be dissolved in pre-prepared demineralized water. The water temperature should be approximately 24°C (75°F). To achieve a salinity of 30 ppt, dissolve approximately 3.3 kg (7.3 lbs) of salt in 100 L (27 US gal.) of water. The solution should be stirred vigorously for about 15 minutes. Aquaforest recommends maintaining the salinity between 30 and 33 ppt. Once complete dissolution and perfect clarity are achieved, the salted water is ready for use. The salt should be stored in a dry place, away from light and moisture. The dissolved salt must be used within 48 hours. Keep out of reach of children! For aquarium use only! Not for human consumption!
