This supplement contains highly concentrated strontium and barium. After calcium and magnesium, strontium is one of the most important elements necessary for the growth of hard corals. Strontium supports the formation of hard coral skeletal tissue and significantly improves calcium absorption. It also supports the growth of soft corals. In a closed aquarium system, the skimmer and filter media remove strontium deposits from the water, making supplementation necessary. To ensure that aquarium conditions are as close as possible to natural conditions, the preparation has been enriched with barium, which is also present and important in seawater. Thanks to its appropriate proportions, the strontium effectively replenishes strontium and barium deficiencies in aquarium water and guarantees the perfect ratio of these elements. The strontium level in a reef aquarium should range between 5 ppm and 15 ppm.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 L (27 US gal) of water per day. 1 ml of Strontium (~15 drops) in 100 L (27 US gal) of water increases the strontium level by 1.09 ppm. It is important to note that each aquarium is different and the dosage will depend on the coral distribution and individual needs.
