Ultra-Phos is a new aluminum-based resin that removes phosphates and humic substances from aquariums. The pollutants are fixed to the surface of Ultra-Phos and will not be released back into the water.

Ultra-Phos can maintain very low nutrient concentrations in your aquarium. Unwanted algae growth will be stopped and corals will display their natural color.

Dosage

CAUTION : Every change in the aquarium must be made delicately and gently. Start by using 50g/200L of water. After 14 days, the dose can be increased up to 100g/200L of water. DO NOT OVERDOSE !

Check the phosphate concentration regularly.

If PO4 levels rise again, replace the Ultra-Phos resin. Do not use more than 100g per 200L of water. Fauna Marin recommends using the resin in a high-flow fluidized bed filter. If nutrient levels are undetectable, do not use Ultra-Phos.

Ultra-Phos is very powerful and suitable for aquariums with a high nutrient load. Ultra-Phos also removes unwanted organic compounds and yellowing. In nutrient-rich aquariums, it may take a short time before you can measure a decrease in phosphate levels (PO4). You will notice a color change in Ultra-Phos, from white to yellow.

If you are using the resin in a reactor, please reduce the dosage by 50% and control the reactor flow rate. Ultra Phos will become hot during the first immersion; do not rinse it!
