Plant Nutrition:
Plants provide the aquarium with oxygen, which is vital for its inhabitants. They prevent algae growth and eliminate harmful substances. The JBL fertilization system delivers CO2, their primary nutrient, to the plants via the water. The plants absorb it and, with the help of light, convert it into sugars and oxygen through photosynthesis.

Easy installation
. The system is fully ready to connect. Screw the regulator onto the CO2 cylinder and connect it via the tubing to the bubble counter (non-return valve included), then connect the diffuser to the aquarium. The CO2 then enters the aquarium and dissolves in the water with the help of the diffuser. The CO2 supply can be stopped at night by an intermediate solenoid valve (nighttime shut-off: not included). The continuous CO2/pH test displays the amount of CO2 dissolved in the water, which can be readjusted if necessary.

Safety:
The bottle is TÜV certified. Thanks to the non-return valve, water cannot enter the bottle. The autonomy of a CO₂ system depends on several factors. The essential elements are the carbonate hardness, the quantity and type of plants, and the strength of the surface water movement. A 500g bottle that is not interrupted overnight by a solenoid valve lasts approximately 4 months with the basic settings. Multi-use bottles can be refilled at specialist retailers.

Converting from disposable to refillable cylinders and vice versa: all JBL CO2 cylinder systems are compatible. In the refillable system (System M), simply unscrew the regulator's connection nut using an Allen key. The regulator is then compatible with the U system (disposable cylinders).
