Armored catfish are bottom-dwelling fish from South America that forage for food on or in the substrate using their barbels. Therefore, the substrate should not be coarse or have sharp edges. They prefer to live in groups (except for C. acutus) and are peaceful.

These are omnivorous and detritivorous fish (they feed on crushed organic matter). Their diet therefore includes almost everything found in natural waters. The JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS formula takes this into account, with both plant and animal ingredients.

What if you have different bottom-dwelling fish in a single aquarium? Fish also have a sense of taste and will refuse food that doesn't appeal to them. Furthermore, it's certain that, among bottom-dwelling fish, we keep NO species for which it would be problematic to eat a food tablet normally intended for another species (e.g., loaches). What is the difference between tablets and pellets? From a manufacturing standpoint, tablets (e.g., JBL PRONOVO TAB, JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS) are mechanically compressed flakes or fine granules. Pellets (wafers) are made from a slurry pressed into an endless sausage-like mold, then sliced ​​into thin rounds and dried as they exit the extruder.
