Description
  • Underfloor heating ensures an almost natural thermal circulation of the soil substrate and thus promotes the transport of nutrients to the roots of plants.
  • Easy installation: simply place the heating cable in loops on the bottom glass of the aquarium and secure it with the suction cups
  • The rising of heated water is followed by an influx of cooler water, thus ensuring water circulation in the substrate. The substrate also acts as a natural filter for the aquarium.
  • Large diameter heating cable for increased efficiency, safe 24V voltage, and high-quality power supply. Spring clips allow for tool-free mounting.
  • Contents: aquarium underfloor heating, electric transformer, heating cable with hot/cold conductors, suction cups for fixing.

Water Circulation:
In nature, aquatic plants grow best when they have access to nutrient-rich runoff. The plants feed on this runoff. Due to the low temperature of the soil, the water rises and the cold water, full of nutrients and dissolved minerals, sinks, creating a thermal flow that brings the food directly to the roots.

Simple installation
: Lay the heating cable in even loops (in the area where the plants will be placed) on the cleaned bottom glass. Secure the heating cable using the provided slotted suction cups. Remove the two cold conductors from the aquarium and connect them to the power supply. The separation into cold and hot conductors is clearly visible thanks to the black lines on the cable.

Safe Use:
For safe use in the aquarium, the heating cable is silicone-coated and operates with a 24V low-voltage power supply. Install this power supply in a well-ventilated location protected from splashes. The submersible heater provides gentle warming of the substrate but should be supplemented with a submersible heater (JBL ProTemp s) for tropical fish.
The power supplies become warm during operation; this is normal and purely technical.

Tip:
Those who don't like using suction cups to fix the heating cord can fix it permanently with small drops of silicone and then remove the suction cups.

Contents of the different sizes of underfloor heating systems: (electrical cable length always 1.5 m)

About JBL
It all began in 1960 with a small pet shop opened in Ludwigshafen by Joachim Böhme, a pharmacist by training, insect specialist, and aquarist from Dresden, turning his hobby into his profession. When diseases affecting ornamental fish became a problem, he created a product called Punktol to combat "white spot disease," known in aquarist circles as "ichthyo." To launch this medication, which is still available today, he needed a brand name. He combined his initials, JB, with the initials of his then-location, Ludwigshafen. After the launch of the JBL brand, the company quickly became one of Germany's leading suppliers of complete product lines for aquariums, terrariums, and garden ponds. Its headquarters have been located in Neuhofen, in the Palatinate region, since 1984, and 180 people work on the company's 2.5-hectare premises. Currently, JBL supplies 60 countries worldwide with a range of over 1,000 products and more than 300 spare parts. Even today, under the leadership of Roland Böhme, the son of the company's founder, the brand places particular emphasis on research.
