sera siporax Nitrate-less Professional is a high-performance filtration medium for the biological decomposition of nitrates, nitrites, and ammonium. Denitrification is enhanced and optimally maximized by the biopolymer ball designed to fit the siporax ring. The biodegradable biopolymer serves as a carbon source for the denitrifying bacteria.

The biopolymer ball not only maximizes the biological filtration performance of the single sintered glass tube but also increases filter maintenance intervals in two ways. In addition to removing harmful substances, the ball's special structure optimizes water flow, thus improving the transport of substances to the siporax ring inside. Therefore, Siporax Nitrate-less Professional is a long-lasting filter media requiring virtually no maintenance. The number of water changes can also be reduced. Water parameters can be improved with Siporax Nitrate-less Professional, especially in large community aquariums and/or cichlid tanks with a high fish population.

sera siporax Nitrate-less Professional can be combined with available siporax products, such as siporax Professional, siporax mini Professional and siporax pond Professional, while increasing the breakdown of harmful substances by adding carbon.

The biopolymer balls are broken down by bacteria over time and dissolve. To replenish the carbon source, simply replace them.

Note: In aquariums containing only plants or in aquariums with dense vegetation, thus having significant nitrogen requirements, this filter media may necessitate additional fertilization with NPK (for example with sera flore 4 plant).
