Tissue culture aquarium plant in a sealed cup.
Eriocaulon plants are generally adapted to soft water. However, Eriocaulon 'Polaris' is much more tolerant than other varieties and thrives even in moderately hard water. Soft water does, however, promote its growth.
It's a small plant with very narrow leaves that form a cushion-like shape. It requires good lighting and CO2 conditions to thrive.
The plant flowers readily after being planted in the aquarium, and the numerous flower stalks that emerge give it a unique appearance. Flowering can deplete its energy, but under good conditions it will recover after some time and produce new shoots from the base.
