South America is the place of origin of this plant with rosette 10 to 15 cm high, 15 to 20 cm wide. Is distinguished by its light green leaves forming a good contrast to the deeper green of the plants of the aquarium. Very beautiful in group. Propagates on the merits if the conditions allow it. Risk of chlorosis if lack of micronutrients.
A certain terminological confusion surrounds this plant, sometimes sold under the name of Echinodorus bolivianus var. Magdalenensis or Echinodorus 'Quadricostatus'.
