Floating, decorative South American plant, particularly suitable for non-covered aquariums. Its height is between 1 and 5 cm and each plant is 5 to 15 cm in diameter. Also behaves well in traditional aquariums where its long and fine roots, very aesthetic, secure the gouramis and other surface fish which like to evolve in the roots of floating plants.

If the water is rich in nutrients and sufficient light, the new leaves stand above the surface of the water. When, on the contrary, the level of accessible nutrients decreases, its growth will be slowed down, making it an excellent indicator of nutrients in water.
