Littorella uniflora is an easily recognizable plant in the aquarium.
It grows wild on the banks of lakes in Europe, North and South America. It tolerates fairly low light intensity, but this would increase the length of the leaves.
Each rosette should be planted separately, spaced a few centimeters apart. They will readily produce offshoots, eventually forming a very distinctive carpet of thick, fleshy leaves, each measuring between 2 and 5 cm long and 0.1-0.3 cm thick. The leaves are easily damaged, so handle them with care.
Littorella uniflora is also suitable for use in terrariums and garden ponds.
