Marsilea hirsuta, native to Australia, is an easy and exciting ground cover plant. Its height varies between 2 and 10 cm. Commercially available, it often has four-leaved leaves, which take on different forms once the plant has adapted to its new environment. It may have low stems topped with simple leaves resembling a large Glossostigma, but it can also have compound leaves (bifoliate, trifoliate, or quadrifoliate) of varying heights, depending on the growing conditions.
Regardless of its form, it is a plant that spreads rapidly by branching.
