Micranthemum tweediei 'Monte Carlo' originates from Argentina. Its light green, rounded, and very dense foliage on creeping stems quickly forms a carpet in the foreground of the aquarium. It tolerates shade but requires good lighting and CO2 supplementation to become compact. To maintain a dense ground cover, it needs frequent pruning; otherwise, the lower parts of the plant will become overgrown.
