Monosolenium tenerum is a beautiful liverwort with a height of 2 to 5 cm.

It resembles a giant Riccia, staying near the bottom where it forms cushions of vegetation. Fragile, it disintegrates easily. It should be placed in the tank by attaching it to a rock with fishing line or by scattering it in small pieces among other plants, such as Eleocharis.

It is undemanding once it has established itself in the aquarium. It is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Pellia.
