Pogostemon helferi is a unique and unusual aquarium plant; it grows to between 5 and 10 cm tall, has a compact habit, and features beautifully curly, vibrant green leaves – quite spectacular. Ideal for ground cover. This plant was discovered by Thai aquarists not far from the Burmese border. In Thailand, it is called 'Daonoi' (little star), and for good reason.

If the lighting is good and the substrate is sufficiently rich, Pogostemon helferi produces numerous branches from which small roots develop, very quickly forming an impressive foreground vegetation.
