This Asian Rotala sp. 'green' closely resembles Rotala rotundifolia. The stems can reach 40 to 50 cm in length and 2-3 cm in width.
Unlike the latter, Rotala sp. 'green' does not develop reddish leaves, but retains its fresh green color even in bright light. This plant readily produces numerous lateral shoots, resulting in a beautifully bushy and sometimes slightly drooping habit. For optimal growth, this plant should be pruned hard and regularly.
