Soft water – but safe
- Reduces pH and KH values
- Adjusts carbonate hardness
- Adjust the pH value
- For soft, slightly acidic water, suitable for animals
Some fish species (such as angelfish and discus) are adapted to soft water and require this condition, especially for breeding. However, for other aquarium fish as well, the water may have a carbonate hardness (KH) that is too high, or the pH may be significantly elevated due to natural metabolic processes.
In these cases, pH/KH-minus is a reliable and rapid solution, stabilizing and regulating pH and KH immediately and precisely. This creates suitable conditions that contribute significantly to the vitality and well-being of the fish.
Tip:
For the long-term maintenance of low-hardness tropical water conditions, adjust the KH to 4° dKH (x 1.78 = TAC French value) with sera pH/KH-minus and then put sera super peat in the filter.
Recommended dosage
To reduce carbonate hardness (KH) by approximately 1° dKH (x 1.78 = TAC French value), add 5 ml of sera pH/KH-minus daily to 20 liters of water
- to reduce KH and pH
- immediate remedy in case of ammonia poisoning
- to prepare the application of sera super peat [adjust the KH to 4° dKH (x 1.78 = TAC French value) with sera pH/KH-minus and then proceed to the long-term stabilization of soft water conditions with sera super peat]
Repeat the dose daily until the desired result is achieved. Do not exceed double the daily dose, as sudden KH changes of more than two degrees are not tolerated by all animals! When using, ensure good water aeration. The KH should not fall below 3° dKH (x 1.78 = TAC, the French value) (check with the Sera KH Test), to avoid the risk of a pH drop!
