100 GPD replacement membrane for AQUA MEDIC Platinum Line Plus aquarium reverse osmosis system.
The membrane's function is to remove elements harmful to aquarium water, such as heavy metals, certain bacteria, and mineral salts, and to allow only H2O molecules to pass through.
Instructions for use :
When first using your reverse osmosis system and when replacing the membrane, you should let 30 to 40 liters of the produced water run through to remove the membrane preservation you can use reverse osmosis water .
The reverse osmosis system always operates with water at room temperature. Never treat water that is too hot (over 35°C) or too cold (below 10°C). Temperatures exceeding these limits will irreparably Optimal production purified water occurs at a temperature of 25°C.
The water passing through the membrane requires a pressure ( over 2.5 bar) to activate reverse osmosis . The pressure is between 4 and 4.5 bar. If your tap water flow is too low , we recommend using a booster pump.
It is recommended to rinse the membrane every month , according to the following procedure:
1. disconnect the pressure
2. let the water run for 20-25 minutes
3. reconnect the pressure .
Important: The indicated flow rate is achieved under optimal conditions . This may vary depending on the pressure at your tap and the temperature of the water being treated .
Replacing the cartridges and membrane of the aquarium reverse osmosis system
We recommend replacing the carbon and sediment cartridges every 3500-4000 litres of treated tap water or every 6 months .
The membrane should be changed annually, except in cases of prolonged non-use of the reverse osmosis system, in which case the membrane dries out and must be changed immediately.
Recommendation: Never let your membrane dry out. Store it in a humid environment or in a preservation solution if it will not be used for an extended period.
Always use your membrane with an activated carbon pre-filter.
