How does the Ion Director® work?
IUD has been designed as an accessory and requires an aquarium controller GHL DOSER 2 standalone or profile (3 or 4) with GHL DOSER 2 SLAVE to operate, see the configurations below.
4 pump heads are needed to measure.
To obtain the greatest possible precision precision, each test is carried out with a freshly calibrated sensor. Two pump heads are used to transport the reference fluids necessary for this purpose. After automatic calibration, a sample of the aquarium water is pumped into the ION Director®.
Once the measurement is complete, the water sample is pumped again and collected in a separate container for subsequent elimination.
How can the measured parameters be checked?
Thanks to the innovative technology of Ion Director®, each parameter can be measured with precision and automatically regulated. If a parameter is too low or too high, IUrd can automatically calculate the quantity depending on which doses must be modified to maintain stable values. It is therefore also suitable for different systems such as Balling® (Light) or Triton®.
Choose the optimal control mode for your aquarium and regulate it individually.
After a measurement, the difference between the real value and the desired value (instructions) is known. The following control modes operate on the basis of this difference.
Additional control mode
The defined dosage quantities of certain dosage pumps are readjusted as a function of the determined deviation, the user defines the quantity (in ML) by which the amount of dosage must change in the event of a certain deviation.
Adaptive control mode
works as the add-on control mode, but here the user determines the percentage of change of the quantity of dosage defined for a certain difference.
Configuration options
The Ion Director® can be used in two ways:
1.Tion Director® is connected to GHL Dosser 2 (2.2) independently via the profile aquatic bus (PAB).
Meeting 2 and ion director
in this configuration, the GHL doser controls the measurement process: it controls the dosage pumps and assesses the results of the measurement.
2.TION Director® is connected to the profile (3 or 4) and to a GHL DOSER 2 (2.2) slave via the profile aquatic bus (PAB).
P4, Doser 2, IUD
in this configuration, profile controls the measurement process: it controls the dosters dosage pumps and analyzes the results of the measurement.
