How does KH Director® work?
The KH Director ® is designed to operate with a GHL Dosser 2 (2.2) Standalone or a Profile® Aquarium Controller 3 or 4 with a DOSER 2 SLAVE for operation.
The 2 inputs and 1 output of the KH Director connect to 3 dosage pumps on the doser 2 (2.2). These 3 pumps are then responsible for the precise transfer of the fluid to and since the director of KH.
A sample of the aquarium water is first sent to the KH Director®. Then, the value of KH is precisely determined by slowly adding another liquid (reactive) and by measuring the value of the pH.
The water sample is then pumped again and collected in a separate container for subsequent elimination.
What are the costs for the reagent and pH electrode?
At GHL, we understand the importance of permanent costs related to automated KH supervision and control. For the director of KH, it was particularly important to take these costs into account and develop a very effective and profitable product. A single reagent bottle of 1000 ml can last up to 3 months when the test is carried out 4 times a day at a KH value of 8. The PH electrode used by the director KH has been specially designed for KH measurement and has an average lifespan of 1 to 2 years.
Configuration options
KH DIROSE ® can be used in two ways:
1. The KH DIRECTOR ® is connected to the GHL DOSER 2 (2.2) SA via the Aquatic Bus profile (PAB).
2. The KH DIRECTOR® is connected to profile 4 and to a Slave GHL DOSER 2 (2.2) via the Aquatic Bus (PAB) profile.

Laboratory quality KH measurement precision
Measure your alkalinity with laboratory accuracy. With only a 100 ml water sample, Kh Director® can provide measurement values with a precision of 0.1 ° DKH.
Test sample volume adjustable by the user
In practice, a precision of 0.1 ° DKH is not always necessary. For this, the volume of test sample can be reduced. A precision of approx. 0.2 ° DKH can still be obtained with a smaller water sample.
