Calcium is essential for plants and animal feed, as it is a key component of bones, shells, and plant structures. In seawater, invertebrates (corals, shellfish, etc.) and calcareous algae require sufficient calcium for optimal growth. The natural calcium content in seawater is 400-420 mg/L.
The HI758 mini photometer is specifically designed for measuring calcium in seawater. Its wide range allows for measurements between 200 and 600 mg/L.
