The Nido 2 is placed in the aquarium to float. Its air chambers allow it to flexibly adjust to the water level. The included suction cups allow it to be attached to the aquarium glass. The protective grids prevent the escape of the installed females and keep out foreign fish. 1. During assembly, the air chambers are placed on the narrow end of the tank so that their openings face downwards. Difficult sections are easier to assemble by submerging them in water. 2. The perforated green supports for the suction cups are attached to the longer sections from below, with the closed end in the rails. 3. The suction cups that will be attached to the aquarium wall must be inserted from below with the end of the plastic elbow facing upwards. This ensures that the Nido 2 remains in position even if the water level drops. 4. After placing the pregnant females or juvenile fish in the floating tank, the protective grid is put in place. Using the small handle on the top, the edge of the grid can be secured between the rails of the divider. 5. The Nido 2 serves as a breeding tank for livebearing ornamental fish. Up to two pregnant females can be housed using the divider. However, it is advisable to house only one female and leave the divider in place. In this case, the breeding tank should be attached at an angle to the inside wall of the aquarium using the suction cups, so that the female is in the upper part of the tank. At birth, the young fish, most of which are still encased in the egg membrane, fall through the grid into the lower part of the breeding tank. They grow in the lower part of the Nido 2 thanks to the slope. From there, they can move upwards to breathe air once they are free of the protective membrane. As they move to the lower section, the dividing wall acts as a barrier between them and the mother in the upper section, preventing them from being eaten. The aquarist does not need an additional tank when using Nido 2 as a breeding tank. All types of young fish can be safely raised. Regular water changes promote the growth of the new generation, remove leftover food, and prevent algae growth on the glass. For this purpose, Nido 2 should be raised out of the water so that water can flow through the tiny openings in the substrate and fresh water slowly enters the aquarium when it is lowered back into the tank.
