- Clear and healthy water: 11W UV-C water sterilizer for the rapid and effective removal of greenish and whitish turbidity in freshwater or saltwater aquariums.
- Space-saving installation: connection to an external filter. Convenient positioning of the inlet/outlet openings. Minimum overall length: 42 cm.
- Partial sterilization of aquariums up to 800 liters (max. pump 500 l/h), and of floating algae up to 200 liters (max. pump 500 l/h). Partial sterilization reduces the risk of disease. Floating algae turn the water green.
- TÜV tested, circuit breaker: automatic disconnection of the UV-C lamp if the device is opened. Robust, UV-resistant housing, 2-glass tube design.
- Included in delivery: complete UV-C sterilizer, 2m cable, 11W UV-C lamp, G23 socket, wall bracket, screws, olive fittings for 16-19mm flexible hoses. 2-year warranty (+2 years with product registration).
Poor lighting conditions and excess fertilizers or nutrients can negatively impact aquarium water and promote algae growth. Floating algae cause green turbidity, while bacteria produce a whitish turbidity. The JBL water sterilizer eliminates turbidity caused by bacteria and floating algae. Aquarium water passes through the UV-resistant sterilizer's housing. The UV-C radiation kills bacteria, other pathogens, and floating algae in the water. This UV-C sterilizer has a very high efficiency because the glass housing is surrounded by a polished stainless steel reflective film that reflects UV-C rays, thus doubling its effectiveness. It can also have this positive effect on eliminating attached algae, such as filamentous algae, since their spores are also largely destroyed.
No harmful side effects.
No change in water parameters, no negative impact on important cleaning bacteria in the filter.
Easy installation.
Connect the water sterilizer to an external filter or a separate water pump. Can be installed in any position thanks to the included 90° elbow.
Safety:
The JBL UV-C sterilizer is TÜV certified and features a circuit breaker that automatically disconnects the device as soon as it is opened. The housing is UV-resistant, its walls are robust, and it has an LED indicator that shows whether the UV-C lamp is operating.
Difference from the previous JBL ProCristal UV-C Compact model: the indicator light is now mounted on the flat side of the electrical unit, and the microswitch that automatically disconnected the lamp when the casing was opened (without the plug being unplugged) has been replaced by a magnetic circuit breaker. Therefore, the electrical units of the older (Compact) models are NOT compatible with the newer (Compact Plus) models, and vice versa.
