Axolotls are one of the amphibians, such as newts and frogs. Unlike other amphibians, they remain in the larval stage all their lives, with external branches in the shape of brooms. The axolotls originally lived in a lake in high altitude Mexico, whose cold waters were up to 20 C. Today, the city of Mexico City has so far extended that the lake is now in the city. Its waters are so polluted by the influx of waste and other impurities that it hardly contains any living beings. Axolotl is therefore considered disappeared from its original habitat.

Axolotls use their smell to find their food and perceive the stimuli of water flows and vibrations such as fish with their side line. Living food with a "interesting" smell like the Pronovo Lotl JBL is therefore ideal for a diet adapted to this species. In nature, they watch their prey and eat crustaceans, insect larvae, small fish and even small specimens of their own species. The JBL Pronovo Lotl takes into account this food repertoire and therefore contains, among other things, fish flesh (trout), shrimp and gammares.

JBL Pronovo is prebiotic food
scientists agree that prebiotic food promotes digestion and therefore health. In axolotls, another important aspect is added to it: thanks to better digestion, the droppings are less important and therefore the water is less polluted, which reduces the appearance of algae problems. This aspect is not negligible in the case of large eaters like axolotls.
