Seachem Prime is a complete conditioner for freshwater and saltwater aquariums that removes chlorine and chloramine and detoxifies ammonia and nitrites. This aquarium water conditioner is up to 5 times more concentrated than competing products and is the second most concentrated dechlorinator on the market, after Seachem Aquavitro Alpha.
It also provides essential ions and stimulates protective mucus production. Prime also improves nitrate removal. Prime is the preferred conditioner for setting up a new aquarium, replacing or adding water.
No other product is needed to make the water healthy, even with particularly high chloramine levels. It does not cause a drop in pH and does not over-activate protein skimmers.
Use
Use 1 capful (5 ml) for every 200 L (50 US gallons) of fresh water. For smaller volumes, please note that each capful is approximately 1 ml. Can be added directly to the aquarium, but is best if added to fresh water first. If adding directly to the aquarium, base the dose on the aquarium volume. A sulfur odor is normal. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose can be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times the normal dose can be used. If the temperature is > 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use half the dose.
