Tissue culture aquarium plant in a sealed cup.
Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae originates from southern Thailand, where the limestone terrain results in very hard water. It is not particularly demanding, but prefers bright light and a nutrient-rich substrate to thrive. Like many Cryptocoryne species, it requires an acclimation period before it can grow.
The leaves can reach 20 to 60 cm in length and the rosette approximately 15-20 cm in width. Place Cryptocoryne crispatula at the back of the aquarium where the leaves can rest attractively on the water's surface. The foliage is entirely green or in shades of rust.
