North American Hemianthus micranthemoides is a graceful plant whose small, arching leaves make it resemble a miniature version of Egeria.
It has a characteristic growth habit in intense light, so it can be used as a foreground plant. A compact group of Hemianthus micranthemoides is very attractive with its small, light green leaves.
In terrariums, the plant forms a compact cushion.
Formerly known as Micranthemum micranthemoides.
