Rotala wallichii is a demanding plant from Southeast Asia that develops red tips if light conditions are good. The stems can reach 10 to 30 cm in height and approximately 5 cm in width.

Ideally kept in groups. Rotala wallichii can be used in the background, midground, or foreground depending on the aquarium size, as it is easily trimmed. CO2 supplementation is recommended for optimal growth. Prefers soft, slightly acidic water.
