sera Insect Nature is a compound food made from sustainable insect meal, free of colorings and preservatives, and contains exclusively animal protein derived from insect meal. The soft, slowly sinking pellets mimic the natural diet of most ornamental fish. In their natural habitat, they feed primarily on insect larvae and algae. In addition to mealworm larvae – with their important protein content – wheat germ and other high-quality, natural ingredients, such as various algae, ensure healthy growth and active fish.
Carefully selected ingredients ensure good food assimilation. Fish excrement is reduced and the water remains clear.
Like all "Nature" products, this product contains no artificial colors or preservatives. It is also characterized by a particularly sustainable feeding concept. The main component of the food consists of ingredients such as Tenebrio larvae or duckweed. Tenebrio larvae provide 100% of the animal protein and correspond to the natural diet of ornamental and biotope fish. As for the plant-based ingredients, duckweed, grown using sustainable methods, provides important, high-quality components such as protein and crude fiber. Duckweed cultivation is particularly environmentally friendly. 100% of the duckweed is used, and the water is recycled.
The concept of sustainability extends from production to packaging and was meticulously designed from start to finish. The packaging is made from 35% sugarcane, highlighting the product's sustainability. This renewable raw material is 100% recyclable, actively contributing to CO2 reduction2.
