The shrimps form a very large group and have developed very different nutritional strategies. Very peaceful, the broom shrimps (Atya) filter the plankton particles in the water using their fans. The pliers shrimp (macrobrachium) are predators and even eat other shrimp. Most shrimps in the Caridina and Neocaridina genres are peaceful and tear algae and microparticles from the ground using their oral pieces. The lakes on the island of Sulawesi are home to species of shrimp that have adapted to these very specific living environments. The pretty cardinal shrimp (C. Dennerli) feed on Algal (Aufwuchs) felting, but only near their refuge. The bee shrimps seek and find their food thanks to their smell. They sometimes travel for that half of the aquarium, which the cardinal shrimps do not do. For them, the JBL Pronovo Shrimps must be given directly under their nose. For macrobrachium shrimp, the Pastilles (Wafers) of the JBL Pronovo Crabs are better suited. On the one hand, because of their composition and, on the other hand, their shape that they can better grasp with their pliers.

scientists agree that prebiotic food promotes digestion and that it is therefore beneficial for health. In shrimp, another important aspect is added to it: thanks to better digestion, excrement is less important and therefore water is less polluted, which reduces the appearance of algae problems. The water remains cleaner.
