Healthy fish thanks to an optimal pH
The acid content determines the pH of the water. To keep fish and plants in good health, this pH must be constantly controlled and adapted to the conditions present. A good pH depends on the aquarium fish population; Bad pH can cause stress and disease.
Easy connection
The pH electrode is connected to the respective measurement or control device by the BNC connection. Safety: The electrode has been checked with individual test report and will have to be replaced after around 2 years. It is equipped with a large protective cap filled with a conservation solution.
PH electrodes
each PH measurement or control device (JBL Proflora CO2 Control) needs an electrode (JBL Proflora CO2 Sensor) to measure the pH of the water. PH electrodes are aging over time and must be replaced every 2 years approximately. A pH electrode must be calibrated every 30 to 45 days to continue to display correct values. The calibration also includes verification of the operating capacity of the electrode, which informs you if a new electrode is necessary. PH electrodes do not appreciate the addition of drugs in water and should be placed in a glass filled with aquarium water during treatment.
Positioning of the electrode in the aquarium
Install the pH electrode using the suction cups provided in an area without too much current and ideally dark of the aquarium. In very clear places, the electrodes are easily covered with algae.
