Although the Bucepts are from Asia and the Anubias of Africa, they have a lot in common, including the way of cultivating them.
BUCECHALANDRA SP. 'Needle Leaf' has a little higher requirements than 'Diabolica' and Pygmaeae, but remains a very easy to cultivate plant. A little CO2 added and a little more light are beneficial. The submerged leaves are green, elongated and slightly wavy, showing many small white dots. Each sheet measures less than 0.5 cm wide and between 1 and 2 cm long. The youngest parts of the rhizome have a beautiful red color. The growth is slow.
The crawling rhizome should not be covered during planting, otherwise the plant will rot and die.
