Healthy fish thanks to optimal pH
Acid content determines the pH of the water. To keep fish and plants healthy, this pH must be constantly monitored and adapted to the existing conditions. A good pH depends on the fish population of the aquarium; a bad pH can cause stress and disease.

Easy connection
The pH electrode is connected to the respective measuring or control device via the BNC connection. SAFETY: the electrode has been checked with an individual test report and will need to be replaced after about 2 years. It is equipped with a large protective cap filled with a storage solution.

pH electrodes
Each pH measuring or control device (JBL PROFLORA CO2 CONTROL) needs an electrode (JBL PROFLORA CO2 SENSOR) to measure the pH of the water. pH electrodes age over time and must be replaced approximately every 2 years. A pH electrode must be calibrated every 30 to 45 days to continue displaying correct values. Calibration also includes a check of the electrode's functionality, which tells you if a new electrode is needed. pH electrodes do not like the addition of medication to the water and should be placed in a glass filled with aquarium water during treatment.

Electrode positioning in the aquarium
Install the pH electrode using the supplied suction cups in an area of the aquarium without too much current and ideally dark. In very bright areas, electrodes easily get covered with algae.
