All Cobitidae originate from Asia and have a benthic lifestyle. They therefore feed mainly on the bottom. Many species, for example the clown loach, Horas' loach, and green loach are good snail eaters!

How do bottom-dwelling fish in a community aquarium get their food?
You've probably noticed this phenomenon: someone drops a food tablet into the aquarium for their bottom-dwelling loaches, but the fish from the other water layers grab it and the loaches are left with nothing! Another variation: you want the loaches to get some of the other fish's food. But generally, the distributed ration is so large that it feeds the loaches and the algae! For example, loaches don't catch the food because it lands in the decorations. It can then rot and lead to algae problems.
To make it work better: first feed the fish in the upper water layers and while they are in the midst of a "feeding frenzy," throw one or two food tablets to the loaches.

What if you have different bottom-dwelling fish in an aquarium? You can easily give 2 kinds of tablets at the same time (e.g., JBL PRONOVO CORYDORAS for armored catfish and JBL PRONOVO BOTIA for loaches). This will even be beneficial for the fish, as they will have a more varied diet and each group of fish will still receive food appropriate for their species. What is the difference between tablets and "wafers"? Food tablets (e.g., JBL PRONOVO TAB, JBL PRONOVO BOTIA) are fine flakes mechanically compressed. Wafers, on the other hand, are made from a mash pressed into a "continuous sausage," then cut into thin slices and dried as they exit the extruder.
