JBL Digiscan thermometer

Digital aquarium thermometer displaying water temperatures from 0 to 40 °C in 0.1 °C increments.
Installation: Insert the battery, remove the protective film, and simply attach the thermometer to the outside by pressing it onto the cleaned aquarium glass. The 2-part self-adhesive fastener allows the thermometer to be removed at any time.
Accuracy: +/- 1.0 °C. Battery: 1 x AG13. Dimensions: 6.5 cm x 5.0 cm. Digit height: 2 cm - thus clearly legible. DO NOT immerse the thermometer in water! The thickness of the aquarium glass does not matter.
The water temperature is transmitted with high precision through the aquarium glass to the contact located on the back of the thermometer.

The water temperature in aquariums is of crucial importance for animals and plants and must therefore be carefully monitored. Most tropical ornamental fish prefer a temperature between 24 and 26 °C, but there are also fish that prefer lower temperatures. The common discus is one of the fish for which a higher temperature, between 27 and 29 °C, is ideal.
The water temperature can be raised using immersion heaters (JBL ProTemp S) or lowered using coolers (JBL Cooler).
